1. I was born and raised in Hermosa Beach, California.

2. I am a junior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, studying English with a minor in Italian as well as Law & Society.

3. This will be my first time living outside of California.

4. I picked to study abroad in Florence because I am 50% Italian and wanted to connect with the culture (I have also heard wonderful things about Florence from friends who have previously studied there).

5. The three trips I am most looking forward to are Ibiza, the Dolomites, and Venice.
